I-29 Elements or events in which the Hierarchies manifest during Earth evolution

This chart attempts to identify the elements or events in which the 9 Hierarchies respectively manifest during Earth evolution. The identifications clearly indicated by Steiner’s lectures are set out in bold print, while those based upon inference are in normal print. Inference is used for the Dynamis and Kyriotetes, and to some extent also for the Thrones, although in the case of the latter, Steiner clearly says that during Earth evolution they manifest in the element of solids. Because of the implications of I-22, I have also inferred that in relation to the Seraphim and Cherubim, the Thrones may represent the polarity of the terrible forces of destruction. With such admonition, this inference seems justified to complete the picture. Accordingly:

An example of how one might think Steiner sometimes contradicts himself can be seen in (BL) where (p. 11) he says, “in reality the Spirits of Wisdom [Kyriotetes, above, or Dominions] manifest themselves through the light, which the ancient religion considered to be the garment of wisdom.” However, in UEM, Lect. 4, we are told that the Spirits of Wisdom were in command during Old Sun evolution just as the Exusiai are in command of Earth evolution (see I-16). This gives them a connection with light, which in a sense is supernal or ancestral to the light manifested during Earth evolution, and is compatible with their earthly manifestation in the Life Ether (as above) since even our scientists tell us that all life on Earth must come from the Sun.
