The Principle of Spiritual Economy, Lect. 2 and 3                                                                   

During the course of this work we will see the application of the important principle of “Spiritual Economy,” the subject of the cited lecture series. This principle provides for the preservation and multiplication of an extract of one or several members (such as, particularly, the etheric or astral bodies) of an avatar or of other eminent initiates who have attained to a high level of perfection. We shall see the application of this principle in the case of Shem and in connection with the biblical Nativity accounts, among others. The working of this principle in the preservation and multiplication of the etheric and astral bodies of Jesus of Nazareth has enabled Christianity to progress through periods much like those of the development of an individual human being.
